Hello from the land of Yellow!
We are very excited and grateful to have the go-ahead to begin helping kids again!
Under Governor Wolf’s advisement, and per the Pennsylvania Dental Association and the Pennsylvania Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, we can begin seeing patients again provided we have appropriate protective equipment for our team members.
We have gone beyond just the requirement for PPE however, and have made additional changes in order to keep all our kiddos and parents safe as well. We do ask for your patience as we all learn about and adapt to our new “normal”.
We made some changes to our treatment areas. We are proud of our “open bay” design that works so well for the children. We kept that design, but have installed clear vinyl curtains in between treatment benches. We have also spread our treatment areas over greater distances, utilizing some new space in the former orthodontic office. This gives us an additional waiting room as well. Lastly, we have added some new infection control procedures to specifically aid in limiting coronavirus exposure.
We will look a little different but are very pleased that the overall visual change isn't huge in light of being able to provide such great added measures. Please reassure your children that we are still the same, fun-loving, friendly folks that they are used to encountering - we just need to dress a little different! We have also made some changes to our reception areas to allow for social distancing and we appreciate everyone's help in reducing the number of people in that space. We ask that only one (1) parent/guardian accompany children to their appointments. Please only bring the child with a scheduled appointment along for the visit.
All of our check in and check out desks now have the protective dividers required. We also ask your patience in scheduling appointments. We are going to add some treatment days and hours in order to help with all of our visits that were necessary to cancel. Due to our limited availability, all appointments will need to be confirmed 48hours in advance. This also allows us to communicate with you regarding some additional COVID-19 related questions we must ask. If we do not have confirmation, we will need to allow someone else to schedule in that time. We also ask that you arrive on time. We will do our best to be running on schedule. We will need to take everybody’s temperature and ask the same COVID-19 related questions before entering the office.
Thanks for your patience and help as we get things going again. We are really looking forward to seeing everyone!
