Dr. Joseph R. Schuchert, D.M.D.
Dr. Joseph R. Schuchert was born and raised outside of Pittsburgh, PA. He received his Bachelor’s of Science at the University of Pittsburgh in 1998 (Summa Cum Laude) where he was a two-time varsity letter winner on the University of Pittsburgh Men’s Swimming and Diving team. Dr. Schuchert received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Dental Medicine in 2002 where he served as president of his class for his last two years. He then attended his orthodontics residency at theUniversity of Pittsburgh in conjunction with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) from 2002-2005 where he received his certificate in Advanced Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
Dr. Schuchert is a member of the Centre and Clearfield County Dental Societies, the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), thePennsylvania Dental Association, the American Dental Association, Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honors Society, and has been granted recent board-eligible status of the American Board of Orthodontists.
His wife, Megan received her Master’s degree from Penn State University and is the director of the student fitness assessment center in the Department of Kinesiology at Penn State. She is also a registered dietitian and certified personal trainer.
Dr. Schuchert’s interests include master’s swimming, biking, running, and fly fishing. He also competes in triathlons throughout the Mid-Atlantic region as a member of the USA Triathlon Association.
