Dr. John Kelly   /   Dr. Robert Kilareski

 

Dr. John Kelly is originally from Baltimore Maryland. He attended Johns Hopkins University where he played on three national championship lacrosse teams and graduated as president of his class. In 1973 he graduated number one in his class from the University of Maryland Dental School and was named to the National Dental Honor Society.  He then spent two years receiving his pediatric specialty training from the University of Kentucky.

He served in the US Army as Chief of Pediatric Dentistry at Ft. Knox Kentucky from 1975 to 1977.  He has been in private practice in State College since 1977. 

Dr. Kelly has authored a dozen publications in professional journals in the areas of dental trauma, oral pathology, treating patients with special needs and practice management. 

Dr. Kelly belongs to multiple professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and has been profiled in several local magazines and newspapers.  Three times Dr. Kelly has been named Centre County Volunteer of the Year.

Dr. Kelly and his wife Carol have been married for thirty-four years and have two grown sons and the world’s cutest grandson. Dr. Kelly is active in his church and  serves on the board of directors of several organizations that serve underprivileged children and people with special needs. In his spare time, he collects rare books, particularly bibles; rides his beloved Triumph motorcycle and travels to the Dominican Republic several weeks a year as part of a dental missions team.

Dr. Robert Kilareski
Raised in State College, Dr. Bob, has returned to the practice he frequented while growing up. He enjoyed visiting Drs. Kelly so much he decided to become a Pediatric Dentist!

After graduating from State College Area High School in 1991, Dr. Bob left the area temporarily to attend multiple schools. He received a B.S. in Biology from Saint Michael's College in Colchester, VT, before attending Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago, IL. Following dental school in 1998, Dr. Bob made the trip east, to live in New York City for two years as he served in a residency at Schneider Children's Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, NY. During his second year at LIJ, Dr. Bob served as Chief Resident in Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Bob resides in State College with his wife, Laura and their son, Joshua. The bulk of Dr. Bob's leisure time is spent with his wife and child. When he is not trying to get Josh to throw the football, Dr. Bob serves on the Board of Directors of Centre Volunteers in Medicine, attempts to golf, reads, enjoys theater, and is one of the most hard-core Penn State Football and Basketball fans you will find.
